| Listed on the following pages are all the dogs registered in the "Swiss Stud Book" from 1909-1942. The first two dogs listed Bello and Nero are the two "short-haired Bernese Mt. Dogs" that were presented to Dr. Albert Heim in 1908 at 25 year jubilee of the Swiss Kennel Club (SKG). Heim the great aficionado of the Swiss Mt.Dogs immediately recognized them as the old Sennenhund or Butcher's Dog. In 1909 they were recognized by the SKG and entered into the stud book. |
