Schimmel's past is somewhat murky, but of interest, about his notoriety, even in his own day, taken from the local Carlisle paper the 'Daily Evening Sentinel' on March 24th 1882: "Schimmel had become intoxicated, boarded a train, and stepped out of a car while it was in motion. He then required medical attention." |
